“Immaterial” is a transformation of mathematically designed images into tactile delicate textiles. Textures are generated by mathematical algorithm and printed by hand on silk organza with shrinking chemical. The specially designed software is a result of collaboration with computer artist Shinya Matsuyama. First presented at “Immaterial” solo exhibition at “Gallery ef” in Tokyo, in March 2004.
